Rubbish Has Been Removed!! (07/09/2019)

Street Has Been Cleared of Rubbish

Saturday 7th September 2010

Day “Zero”

This morning I noticed that our street has been cleared of all the rubbish that our neighbours have dumped there for months.

I assume this was due to the intervention of my local MP, Mr Steve Reed.

If so – THANK YOU!!

I’ll count today as ‘day zero‘ – let’s see how long it will take before our neighbours dumps their rubbish there again.

Abandoned Commercial Waste Bins from Mirch Masala

Big Green Commercial Waste Bins

About the big green commercial waste bins that are now abandoned in our street.

They belonged to the restaurant Mirch Masala.

The other day the manager came to my flat and complained that I had mentioned Mirch Masala unfairly on this website.

I asked him to point out a single image that is a lie or that does not truly represent the state of the rubbish behind the Mirch Masala restaurant.

I’ve also asked him why the restaurant had now abandoned the big bins – but he denied they belonged to the restaurant.

This might be true for now – but I have photographic evidence that the Mirch Masala Restaurant has used those bins for YEARS!!

I do not know why he would not admit that those bins are/or have been his/ the restaurants bins.

I get that he is upset, so am I. I had to put up (and still have to) with overflowing bins, the stench, the rats etc.

The previous manager of Mirch Masala couldn’t care less and just laughed when I complaint about the overflowing bins that where only collected once a fortnight. How a restaurant gets away with this is beyond believe. I guess you can in Croydon.

I have to admit, the new manager has made an effort at first to spruce up the back of house and even cleared the mess that was left from his predecessor on the roof of the restaurant for years. He also covered up (cemented over) the massive rat holes at the back of the restaurant.

However, that tidiness did not last long.

And this is only a small record of what I’ve seen behind the the Mirch Masala restaurant.

As of today, Monday 26th August 2019, the commercial waste bins and the back of the Mirch Masala restaurant are tity and it is clean.

That does not mean it’s alway been like that – nor that it will always be like that.

Ongoing Dumping of Rubbish by Flats 1422 and 1416A London Road Norbury SW16 4BZ

For privacy reasons YouTube needs your permission to be loaded.
I Accept

Illegal Dumping of household rubbish by the occupants of these 12 flats!

Flats 1422 London Road, Norbury, London, SW16 4BZ +

Flats 1416A London Road, Norbury, London, SW16 4BZ

The occupants of the flats mentioned above keep dumping their rubbish in the street.

I’ve personally seen them doing it, just wasn’t quick enough with my phone camera to catch them in the act.

If the council ever gives two hoots about this shit – I am happy to testify in court about the illegal dumping of household rubbish in front of the entrance to my flat.

I am also happy to testify that the Council has NOT delivered the bins that I have ordered for our flat.

Nor do any of the 12 flats mentioned above have any bins provided by the council.

So its a shit-shit situation.

I’ve contacted the local newspapers and send them a link to this website.

No response from anyone.

People Urinating in our Street

Urinating in Public

I’ve mentioned this before and it is an on-going issue.

It is well known to the locals that our small street is a place for people to urinate in as it is hidden from the main road.

Having the big commercial rubbish bins strewn around makes it the perfect place to hide between and take a piss.

You can see the little steams of piss on the ground – nearly every day.

When I come home at night, I often startle the guys pissing in our street.

It’s the perfect place to take a piss, no CCT, no streetlights.

The other day I finally managed to get my phone out and take a photo of someone urinating in our street.

It does not make sense that the Council does not provide any street lighting or CCTV in this area.

If the council could be bothered cleaning up the street, remove the big commercial rubbish bins and install CCTV it might deter them form using our street as a rubbish dump and pissing ground.

Not that we needed proof – but here it is.

Dumping Any Rubbish in Norbury is Allowed

It is clearly no problem to dump any kind of rubbish on the streets of Norbury.

Not a day goes by where I don’t see some rubbish being just dumped around the streets where I live. It’s an effing disgrace.

This is not something new. I can testify to at least 5 years of this and I’d challenge anyone claiming otherwise!

Somehow, every once in a while the rubbish is actually collected (don’t know by whom).

If it is the Council, why do they keep doing this?

They are mad not to install CCTV and fine the bastards that dumb the rubbish.

Easy money. Day in – day out.

Rubbish Dumbing (Again) Reported To Croydon Council

I’ve again logged in to my Croydon Council Account and reported the dumping of rubbish in our street.

Tried to call the Council too – but got tired of waiting for someone to answer the phone.

automated email reply from the council website

This shit is right in front of the entrance to my flat.

It effing stinks.

You can see that the local residents keep adding their household rubbish to the pile of rubbish.

Even though – the are 3 huge – empty – commercial waste bins – right next to it.

To effing lazy to even through their rubbish in a the bin – its right effing there!!

This Is Not A Refuse Site (Sign)

The road where all the rubbish is being dumped has a big sign at the end of the road.

THIS IS NOT A REFUSE SITE

Illegal dumping of rubbish is fly-tipping.
You can be fined up to £50,000 or face 12 months imprisonment
CCTV is in operation in this area.
FLY-TIPPERS WILL BE PROSECUTED

Report fly-tipping

Phone: 0208 604 7000

THIS IS NOT A REFUSE SITE

I’ve lived here for years and only just recently noticed this sign – due to other rubbish being removed from 1414 London Road.

This isgn is right at the end of the road.

There is no CCTV!

I’ve used the Croydon App – reported it – but never had a response.

I’ve also used the My Croydon Account that I have to report it, but again – never had a reply/response.

Ever.

So I stopped using it as it was of no use.

I ‘think’ that last time I used it was around 2016/2017.

I’ve still got the app installed on my phone.
