More Dead Rats -More Rubbish Dumped

The images below should speak for themselves.

With the current heatwave in London, the stench is unbearable. The one time you really want to open your windows to let in some air / create a draft is now. But, with the rubbish cooking on the floor and the smell from the local restaurants deep frying their food, it’s just not an option to keep the windows open.

The number of rats and mice are increasing daily because of the food / household rubbish being left out to rot in bin bags, on the ground.

Maybe closing the Mirch Masala Restaurant, The Griller Restaurant, The Chicken Cottage Franchise and the Fishmonger on London Road would go some way of tackling the rat issue and the ‘dead flesh and dead fish smell’.

Someone also pulled in the big green commercial waste bins from the corner of Norbury Crescent and left them in the alleyway. Not sure what that is all about. Those commercial waste bins belonged to the Mirch Masala Restaurant for ages – now they seem to disown them?

The disgusting thing is that the local residents in the 6 Flats of 1422 London Road and also all 6 flats at 1416A London Road are too effing lazy to even use the big commercial bins for their rubbish. So they just dump their rubbish next to the bins!

None of those flats mentioned EVER had a rubbish bin – not in the years that I have lived here.

Note that this alleyway / walkway is the ONLY way to access the flat I live in – and for almost all other residents on that stretch of London Road too. Royal Mail considers the alleyway a health an safety issue and haven’t delivered mail to my address in years!

So, should we sue the Council – or should we fine the occupants?

What do you think?

Who is at fault here?
